Rotate Sketch Axis

Hi, I want to make a sketch with a few rectangles in the xy-plane. I don't however want the rectangles to be parallell with the axes rather I want them rotated 30 degrees around the z-axis to line up with a part in my model. Now I can draw the sketch parallell to the xy-axes and rotate it after but this makes it more difficult to make use of the features in the bodies of the model.

So to clarify:

How do I define a sketch plane in the xy-plane to have its coordinate system and grid NOT line up with the xy-axes?

Hi

Thanks for posting. Follow these steps.

1. Create a rectangle by "3 point rectangle" from the drop down.

2. Create a rectangle by placing 1 point on the origin and others as your wish.

3. Create a line with the origin and use "Dimension" command to place dimension of 30 deg.
