Roll back errors

Hi,

I have been modelling a design, and adding joints as I go along. I realised though that I had missed a cut on a component. So I rolled the timeline back and added the cut in. Just a small circular cut into a face that no other bit are referenced off. However, when I roll the timeline back to the end of the design, some of the joints are no longer in the correct position. They have just moved into free space, but the joint shows no error.

I thought it might be something to do with the cut, so I un-made (ctrl-z) the cut and it corrected the model. I thought I would try again, one stage at a time. So I rolled back and made the drawing of the cut on the face, but nothing more. Just the sketch. Rolled forward again, all the joints are again, all out of place!? I can't see any reason why this is happening.

Anyone know what is going on?!

Jonny

Hi,

In this case it would really help for me to see the design or a video made by Autodesk Screencast.

If you can share the design, send a link (allowing download) to phil dot eichmiller at autodesk dot com.

Thanks,

The whole model had moved in space and some of the parts I had missed the relationships. I had to add all the relationships in.

I think I had just missed them.
