Request to permanently remove autodesk assistant from design window

This is a baffling that autodesk would just assume a huge amount of the design space every time my mouse moves to the right side of the screen. This is unacceptable.

I agree totally, I don't want it permanently on my screen. I have moved it over behind the browser as less likely to accidentally scroll over it. Give us the option to remove!

Hi, thanks for posting. What happens if you use the Close button?

Lower right corner of the Assistant:

that does get rid of it for that session(and you cant get it back), but it reappears every time you open Fusion.

There Must be a way for this to be permanently disabled for users who want nothing to do with AI nonsense or for data security reasons.

Also this wasn't present in the Latest Insider release but was snuck into production at the last minute.

It would appear that I am an idiot and missed that! I was looking in Preferences for a way to permanently disable it…

Hi all, I am the Product manager working on this feature.

So let me try to clarify a few things.

By default some of you may see the Autodesk Assistant visible with the March update when you launch Fusion. If you simply close it, and restart Fusion, it will not pop back up next time you start Fusion. If you want to use it, you can turn it back on, using the icon "A" icon located in canvas bottom right corner.

After you close it and restart Fusion, it still remains minimized on screen as shown.  From my perspective it's just more clutter I didn't need.

@Sualp.Ozel   It was popping back up every time I opened fusion yesterday, that seems to be fixed now.

FYI Clicking the Icon in the Lower right of the Canvas does not bring it back, it just has the basic AI chat for help

Can you close it and restart fusion ?

my guess is you did not close it, but rather minimized it

@mrm1018 i can see the issue you are describing in your image however  I can't replicate your experience on my end.

if you wish to not interact with the assistant, expand the Autodesk Assistant. and then close it. Upon a restarting Fusion, it is not supposed to reappear in the collapsed state.
If that does not work, I am happy to jump on a zoom call with you for a quick screen sharing session to see the issue and help resolve it.

The AI Assistant would not go away for me until I pinned it (or whatever you call pressing the small double arrows), and then closed it, then reopened Fusion.  The key take away here is that I had to pin it open first, then Close it for it not NOT reappear at launch.   This seems like a bug to me.    Regardless, please stop forcing this AI stuff on people who don't want it!  Each feature update is pushing me further away from wanting to pay for a subscription when my trial is up.

you aren't kidding. Between the pop up in the very middle of the screen and now this assistant? I'm about over all of this.

Try pinning (or whatever they refer to as pressing the double arrows on it's pallet header) the AI assistant open.  It will kinda maximize itself on the right hand side.  Then Close it, then re launch Fusion...  That's what worked for me.  Hopefully it will work for you too!

Please stop pushing useless garbage features on people when they don't even want them. I disabled it and it kept reappearing and it's placed exactly in the same spot where modifier settings appear and I kept accidentally hovering my mouse over it. Thankfully after several times, it seems to be gone now. I hope it will be moved somewhere else and there will be an option to permanently disable it.

Thank you for fixing this so promptly. I can confirm that the assistant window did not reappear after updating.

I'll add my support to what a few people have mentioned above already - these new "features" are making Fusion worse. Please focus on making existing features more robust and adding basic functionality features (plenty of them requested on these forums over and over again since 2016. Adding the ability to make a line tangent to a spline in a sketch is the first one that comes to mind)

Even after the update. I still have an icon in the middle of my screen. It's annoying; I can't move it. Opening and closing, the icon stays.
