Replace Component function needs a search function!!!

So as much as I like the option to replace components now its really not at all useful for me since I have created a massive library of parts, bolts etc and finding them in Fusions built in project browser is a nightmare since its extremely basic at lacks many common features found in modern user interfaces.  Even Windows has gotten this right for a few decades now.

It seems every time I run into a roadblock with Fusion 360 its related to its core server side design.  I get it you want us to have less control over your product but it comes at the detriment of the end user.  If only it worked like every other professional design program in existence and allowed me to use my operating systems file system.  Maybe you guys could sit down with Adobe software for a few minutes and learn something.

Hi @tonberryhunter ,

Thanks for the feedback. For many, the replace functionality unlocked completely new workflows and removed unnecessary extra steps in their existing workflows. We also understand we haven't improved all related workflows and we still have room to improve.

If you willing to share, I'd like to hear more about the library you've built and how you use it?

While in the replace dialog, would you want to limit your search to your library project only?

What searches would be most common?

I'd like to hear more because your feedback does drive where we take this product.

Thanks,

John
