Repetitive Assembly Joining

I have an assembly where I have to bring in over 100 components to stack on a shaft.  I figured this would be a good time to learn about assembly automation or macro, or any such thing if it exists.  I've attached a screen cast of my assembly.  

What I would like to do is something like, press a button, the part is brought in, the joining activity starts and I just have to click on the second component in the join.  That would speed things up a lot.

I answered my own question.  I discovered that I can use the pattern on components.  Makes it a lot easier.
