Renewal for Fusion 360 Design Competition Mentor IMPOSSIBLE

I've been trying to renew my Fusion 360 subscription for 21 days.  I have 9 days left.  I started the renewal process when there were 30 days left.  I have opened 3 cases with Autodesk (support tickets).  Support has responds to the ticket with a canned response (after 3-5 days) and then never responds to my replies.  I have tried to open a chat session, but that always seems unavailable.  Stupid question:  why isn't there just a simple "RENEW" button to click???

Can anyone from Autodesk help me renew my subscription for another year?  Every year it's a challenge for me and the other mentors.  Right now we are in the middle of the competition and losing access to Fusion 360 would be a catasrophe for our team of aspiring high school engineers.

Hi @marangolafrc

If you have renewed the subscription the "days left" will still show up.

This question has been covered multiple times and I am puzzled why this is still a thing.

Just to be sure - are you referring to a student (education) license?

Each year I get an email to renew.  I simply open the email and click renew.

OK, so are you saying that I may have successfully renewed my subscription, but the "days left" until it expires will still appear continuously for 30 days until the end date?

This seems like a terrible way to handle the renewal process for customers.  I assume that you mean you are puzzled as to why Autodesk hasn't fixed this and does not have a clear process that indicates you are renewed or not, and why even after you have renewed you are faced with a continuous warning for 30 days saying your license is about to expire.

We have other mentors who have attempted to complete the circuitous renewal process and because they can't get the "days left" until it expires to go away have assumed the renewal process was unsuccessful, and therefore have created an entirely new account and exported all their projects to files and re-imported them back into their new account.  This is a primary reason some proposing that we switch to OnShape and abandon Fusion360, which outside of this crazy renewal stuff, is a great solution for our team.

Hi @HughesTooling and all,

What license type in particular are we referring to here? Is it Education or Personal or paid subscription? Reason I am asking. Right now I am only aware of the personal license having the countdown timer issue that you mention. This should be fixed for the personal license soon... otherwise, as soon as a successful renewal for Education/Subscription commences, it should restart the timer. All the timer is doing is looking for when the current license ends.

@marangolafrc if you still need help, please let me know. I'm happy to verify anything and ensure that your licenses are active and operational. If we need to discuss emails/orders etc off the forum - please email me at james.youmatz@autodesk.com
