Rename component issue

NOTE: I know that there are related posts, but no answer is given.

When I rename a component it adds (1).  I have no other components with same name, proven by searching "Select By Name". What could be the issue here?

That is a Fusion naming convention, putting the (:1) after the name is representing that this component is the first (possible) copy of this component.  When you pattern the component, the name will be the same and the number counts up.

Normal behaviour.

Thank you for the reply but I am not referring to :1. It is the (1) that it adds even though I have no components with the same name. Please see image below.

if you have the design in a state before the rename, and can show that the rename tags on the "(1)", and that there are no duplicates (including any components that have been "Removed"), then please share that here, so we can investigate.  I am not aware of any others reporting this behavior, so it may be particular to your design somehow.  Thanks.

I tried to go even further and searched by name and I can only find one component (and body) with that name, but it still adds the (1) after renaming:
