Removing a particular section or slicing on a imported project

Hey Guys, super new to this. Ive imported an existing DWG file to edit. I need to make the design 12.7mm thinner from the existing depth but from a certain point to point. how would I go about doing so? I took a screenshot (shown below).. I added the blue bar striking across (in edit) that signifies where I want to do my cut (1/2' or 12.7mm).. thanks!

Just checking before i move this post - but are you doing this in AutoCAD or Fusion 360?

I'm trying it in Fusion.. I tried it in AutoCad as well that's where the screenshot is from. my bad for the confusion.

I'm sure its possible but we need the file and some more pictures of what you want to remove.

This can be done in either AutoCAD or  in Fusion.

Attach either your AutoCAD *.dwg file or File>Export and then Attach your *.f3d file here for detailed instructions.
