Remember a Selection

When you carefully select a bunch of surfaces or edges, for example filleting, if the operation fails its dumps the selection and you have to repeat the selection process

this is pretty frustrating when you are searching for a radii that works

can this behavior be changed so when it returns with a fail, it retains the selected items ?

there are a bunch of use cases where this would save a lot of work

why should you have to manually create a selection set - the software already has it

- it just needs to return with the selection set if it fails

At the moment, creating a selection set and updating it every so often is the only way I am aware of to help.
I also find that Fusion drops the selection very often.

The inefficiency of this becomes very apparent when working with another application.

Hi @moriarty.chch ,

I wanted to follow up and see if you had a chance to look into the TrippyLighting  post. Please let us know if you are still needing help on this.

Selection sets are great if you want to remember a selection permanently

But this is selection during a work flow - the set changes with each edit event

If it fails to find a solution it needs to return and retain the selection set so it can be re-edited

This would be a massive time saver on a bunch of tools that allow selection of multiple entities
