Reference frame of component not allowing 2d manipulation of sketch

Hey Guys,

I'm following a course online making a V12 engine block in fusion. It is the first time i'm doing a big project with multiple components and i think i messed up my reference frame. If i make a sketch on the highest component level, everything is fine. I can move and rotate it in 2D. The moment i activate my component i cannot manipulate a sketch in 2d anymore, i can only move it in the direction of the original coordinate system. 3d sketch is off.

I demonstrate this in the screencast. I dont understand why this happens, i must have messed up a setting somewhere. Hopefully someone can help.

Brand new computer, windows 10, just updated version of fusion

Greetings Tom

The last sketch in you timeline is not sketched on the sketch plane.  You must have moved it off if you are sure 3D Sketch was off when you create it.  In the Screencast I show you how to reset any sketch back to the sketch plane.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. The reason that sketch was on the wrong plane is because i saved it after i made the video and uploaded it. In the video you can see that i select the plane on the outside, make the sketch, and then move it in 3d. So it feels like a bug where you are allowed to move your sketch plane as you manipulate the sketch, thus breaking the constraint that that sketch is on that specific plane.
