"There was an error while logging in to Fusion 360" message

When attempting to launch the Fusion360 application I get the "error" message.  I checked the log file and I see the following message: 2018-01-07T23:32:02.532Z [Fusion360:13360, 3932] [AdWebServices.TimeService ERROR] Time query finished. Server response: Http code: 0, Body: , Date header: 2018-01-07T23:32:02.533Z [Fusion360:13360, 3932] [AdWebServices.TimeService ERROR] Failed to get time from server https://time.akamai.com. Will retry next server url in 5s. Http error: 0. Network error: 99 Error communicating with HTTP proxy. Proxy info: Apparently there is a failure while getting time from server "time.akamai.com" Can someone advise on how to fix this issue?

Hi @Anonymous,

Welcome to the Fusion 360 Community!

EDIT: Actually this snippet suggests that an HTTP proxy may be in place. I know this happened to me personally on my home computer. If you do not have a proxy that you know of, let's try this. Open command prompt (run as administrator) and type the following:

  • netsh winhttp show proxy
    • If it shows a port number (instead of Direct Access) do the following command
  • netsh winhttp reset proxy
    • This should reset it back to direct access. To verify this worked, do the following:
  • netsh winhttp show proxy
    • Now it should show direct access

From that snippet of code - it looks like you have a proxy server enabled and Fusion is unable to reach that time server due to the proxy. Does this make sense that you have a proxy enabled? If so, please refer to our networking guide here in order to add the proper bypasses for the proxy.

If not, I would verify from your Internet Connection settings (under the Connections->LAN)  that you do not have a proxy set up accidentally.

Let me know if you need help debugging this.

Thanks,

I have the same problem, I just can't log into my account and use Fusion 360. I already try this solution and I don't have any proxy, it already says "Direct Access" and I also tried all the solutions in the website and nothing help me.

Please, can you help me? I need to use this software asap.

Hello, I'm having this problem too.

I think the cause may be in the fact that I logged in from a different IP address than the usual one, this time in the same computer but with a different internet connection in my parent's house. That log register is not shown on my autodesk.webdeploy.streamer file, so that lead me to thing there was any problem when I used fusion 360 back there in my hometown.

Maybe there is some extra file that I could delete besides the LoginState.xml which I already did remove. Also, I am sure there is no proxy involved and my internet connection here is running Ok. I would not like to reinstall the whole thing so please if anybody could help me that'd be great.

I solved it.

I checked again my Log files and found a different line comparing the last ok logging file to the failed one:

W Login - Empty login url, no time settings difference, possibly caused by firewall issues.  HttpCode: 315

I configured the "automatically update time" option on my windows time/date options and solved the issue following this thread:

https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/fusion-360-design-validate/fusion-360-sign-in-failure-due-to-service-...

Возможно кому-то поможет. Пол часа мучался не мог понять почему не логинится. И время вроде правильно, но прочитав сообщение выше, вспомнил что у win8 неправильный часовой пояс и надо установить обновление KB2998527
