"Move Sketch Objects" not functional at all.

I have researched everything that I can find on this topic of "Moving Sketch Objects". I have attempted to move objects on numerous projects that I have drawn and machined using only Fusion, including many full 3D parts. I have tried every manner of moving sketch objects and have been entirely unsuccessful. I am fluent in 17 CAD/CAM programs with 27 years of CAM machining experience. "Move" only works for me on "Bodies". Does anyone have any suggestions or tip/tricks that I may be missing, or does the "Move Sketch Objects" just not work? Thanks in advance.

Brian

I think it is a selection problem, need to be selected ONLY the objects (in some cases ned to be selected also the center of circles or arcs) without any other (origin, dimensions) , clean the origin coincident constraints before the move command, sometimes it's work but in some cases the draw  it's stuck. Any way like I already said; drawing need to be improved BEFORE ALL OTHER TOOLS, .

@cow448w - Never give up, any cad/cam tool have their own bugs for sure...

Are you frustrated?

Can you File>Export your *.f3d file to your local drive and then Attach it here to a Reply?

WHERE IS THE "DELETE COINCIDENT" COMMAND?

absolutely dire compared to SW

@cow448w

It is in the same place as in SolidWorks.

With one slight enhancement - to clear clutter from the sketch the glyph is not displayed unless you click on the point.

All of this is pretty much identical...

If you have problems moving sketch components it is quite likely there are some associated positional constraints which need to be removed before the move will work, make sure that in sketch mode you have show constraints checked and start removing the positional constraints, particular associated with dimensions to other objects which may or may not be associated with the sketch under consideration is a good place to start.

When you create you sketch don't start it at the very center point of the sketch grid, for some reason this locks it. You can still do a sketch there for reference or the base of the design that doesn't need to be moved. But try creating design slightly to the side of main center point of grid. Then you can move your sketch. Not sure why, and doubt this is the correct way, but it works.

every sketch has a fixed point at the origin that is not deletable.  If you snap to this point when creating geometry, that part of your sketch will be immovable.  You can remove this by hovering over this point, selecting the coincident constraint:

and then deleting it:

None of the solutions in this thread have worked for me.  And it's seven years later.  Why would anyone pay for a program with a basic feature that's clearly broken.  I'm going to talk to my CEO about switching to something that actually gets support from the developer.

As a relative beginner I find this move functionality highly unintuitive. It could just tell you why it can't move the darn thing rather than just refuse to do so.
