"adsk.idmgr" links are blocked while launching Fusion 360

We are using Autodesk fusion 360 for all our student laptops, and all laptops are managed by Microsoft end point manager (Intune). now Fusion 360 is not working after new update it shows "adsk.idmgr" links are blocked.

Hope its blocked because of our Intune policy. I added adsk.idmgr also in Intune policy for edge and chrome, even still not working.

Sorry that you ran into this issue.

For your Intune policy, please add   adskidmgr:*

Let us know if this solves your issue.

Hi @braneshlr

Thanks for the update. Can you please try to update the Autodesk Identity Manager. Here is a link to an article that explains the process. Autodesk Identity Manager component update for product versions 2024 and beyond (Windows).

Please keep us posted.

Hi dan banach,

  • Installed IDSDK 1.9.18.0
  • Copy adskidmgr.bat to C:\adskidmgr.bat
  • Executed adskidmgr.reg
  • Added idsdk_edge_ext extension in edge developer mode
  • Try to signin Fushion 360

Output: Working (another policy blocked)

Hi @braneshlr

Sorry to hear that the students’ laptops are not working. To help figure out the issue, can you please attach the Fusion 360 log files from one of the student’s computer? Here is an article that explains the process

How to manually collect diagnostic log files for Fusion 360

Thanks,

Hi @braneshlr

Thanks for the log files. In the WebServices.log file, there are errors stating "Application not installed properly". Could you try to uninstall and reinstall Fusion360?

I also sent the log files to the engineering team to review. I'll keep you posted on their analysis.

Thanks,

-Dan

Hi @braneshlr

Here is the feedback I received from engineering.

AdskIdentityManager.exe is not being passed auth code through the custom uri scheme. Is the student browser loaded with the extension?
If it is, should be able to see the batch file being launched (can add a pause at the end of the C:\adskidmgr.bat file to confirm).

Hope this helps.

Fusion360 functioned properly following an update to a new version of Autodesk Identity Manager. Although it is blocked by another Intune app locker policy, we are collaborating with Microsoft to find a solution. There is a temporary fix for this issue. We anticipate a new update from Autodesk to address this problem because it would be too challenging to complete this process manually for all 3000+ users.

Hi! Can you write about what temporary solution you are talking about. We seem to have encountered this problem too. We are unable to deploy the 'Fusion Admin Install.exe' application through Intune for laptops at the school. Please, help!
