Projection & Intersection Pain

I have a fusion file that I use to make design variations.
This morning I started a new project and copied a working file to a new directory. Made adjustments to the size of the design and features and had what seemed to be only a few minor issues. Except for one.
A projection reference was lost on an internal component (it was actually an intersection), but I cannot fix or delete that reference.
I cannot even make a new sketch in the internal component even before the break in the timeline and try to create a new intersection or projection without it failing.
I can however make a new sketch in the component above it or presumably any other component and intersection the exact same surface and have it not fail.
This is my life currently. I think the only fix is to make a new internal component from scratch and then for the next job I have to do, to delete and make a new internal component each time.
Watch the video, it's not fun.
And when the issue first appeared I opened the sketch to manage the lost projections. When that didn't work I tried to redefine the sketch plane. And while that makes the error "go away" and the yellow disappears, when I close and re-open the sketch and try to intersect again the error re-appears.
So the error never left, I just told it to shut up for a second. LOL
Whatever is causing the problem can't be accessed and can't be removed. This is my cad life right now.
