Projected drawings automatically becoming fixed

I have been trying to make a cabinet that is fully parametric.  It did not behave as expected when I did change parameters, so I was trying to troubleshoot.  I noticed that not all of my drawings were fully defined, so I started trying to fix that first.  The first sketch I never could get fully defined after spending quite a bit of time trying.  The next two sketches were merely projections of the first sketch onto different planes.  They both were fully defined.  As I proceeded, I noticed that the third sketch had become fixed with the green lines on most of the geometry.  I had not specified that these lines were fixed, nor did I desire that outcome since I want things to be parametric.  How do I avoid this happening (This is not the first issue I have had with this).

Thanks so much in advance.

I cannot replicate your issue.  Please record a video showing your process so the Forum users can try and find out what you are doing to cause the Fix to be applied.

By the way, you are off to a poor start in your model.  You should be activating your component BEFORE creating any construction geometry or sketches as this will place these features BELOW the related component and, not only, will make it easier to model but it will make is very easy to edit.

I’ll try to remember next time this happens to get a video of it.

Thank you so much for the constructive criticism! I will definitely try to make that change.

If I understand your question correctly, this is expected behavior.  Projecting curves from one sketch into another, by definition, means that those entities are fully defined/fixed.  Project means that the objects' geometry and position are driven by the source geometry.  They are not intended to be editable or parametric.  See the video below.  I created a sketch, with an editable rectangle that is dimensioned, in sketch1.  In sketch2, I projected this rectangle.  Sketch2 is not editable - the lines in its sketch are entirely determined by the source objects in sketch1
