problem with the viewing of my models

when I I'm trying to look at my models from a different angle, I generally use the cube at the top right corner, but recently I have noticed that while turning the cube the model will unexpectedly point in a seemingly direction. this only started happening a few weeks ago and it's been very annoying. please fix or tell how i can fix it if possible. thank you!

I cannot fix your View Cube, but you can view your model very effectively using the Free Orbit command.  Use the embedded compass to select your direction of motion.
