problem uploading sldprt part files from onedrive

I am trying to upload a sldprt file from a shared onedrive files and keep getting translation error can any one help me with this.

Hi @robertc72EE4,

 

Do you mind sharing a download link to the .sldprt with me so that I can try on my end? I would be curious to see why this is failing. Are there any specific error messages regarding the failure? Also, does this seem specific to One Drive - i.e. if you download the .sldprt to your HDD and then upload, does it succeed?

Here is the file that am using.

 

some times it will down load but when it does I cant get the solid model to work in the cam part

Sorry. Referenced files are missing. Please upload 2017 DSS2-3 end plate.SLDPRT including all references.

 

Details The Version of the file: 2017 DSS2-3 end plate.SLDPRT is not supported.

Hi @robertc72EE4,

 

Ah I see the same error. Do you know what version of Solidworks this was created in? I have a feeling if it was created in the latest version of solidworks that our translators have not been configured yet to make that translation.

YOU WOULD BE CORRECT IT THAT THIS IS THE LATEST SOFTWARE.

 

SO WHAT DO WE NEED TO  DO HERE.

If you have access to SolidWorks 2018 - then Save As *.stp

Hi @Anonymous,

 

It should be released by the end of next week I believe! I will have to follow up on that.

 

In the meantime, can you get a generic file format such as .stp or .iges?
