Problem saving or problem closing?

This happens too frequently and I'm not sure if it's me or something else.

Example: Last night I was working on my project and this morning I open it and at least an hour worth of work is not there.

Perhaps I'm not closing Fusion correctly so it's not saving all my work?

What is the correct way to close Fusion to ensure that I stop losing work??

My employee experiences the same thing and he's working from home.

Thank you,

James

Hi @jdholbrook33

Sorry for the trouble you are facing.

Do you know if you can reproduce this issue with all the files or only with a certain design?
What is the Recovery Time interval for you? You can find it under Preferences>General>Recovery Time Interval(min)

Just a random thought I had - are you allowing the final save for the evening to upload to the cloud before closing your session? Are you opening the file the next morning on the same device, or different?

Would you mind walking me through your shutdown procedure once you've finished with a document, including saving?

Typically I close the project(s) I'm working on and once it's completed the "upload" I close the program.

My employee is on his own device and always uses the same device.

I use the same device almost exclusively. Maybe once every few months I will work on my personal computer from home but as I say, maybe once every few months.

To recap. I hit the"X" on the project I'm working on, wait for the "upload" window to leave them click the "X" of the FUSION window.

The problem affected myself and my employee.

We are both working on separate projects.

The project I am working on is a bit older, maybe a few weeks old.

The project my employee is working on is new.

The missing work has affected several projects and it seems to be only recently as in the past few months.

Are you still facing this problem?
If yes, then could you please share the log files?
You can find the instructions to fetch logs here: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/fusion-360/learn-explore/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-t...
