prism on lettering, how to?

Hello,

I have been trying to figure out how to create a prism on letering like the picture below. Have been trying to see if there is an easy solution to this. I attached file on a sign i am attempting this on, I took it from a dxf and converted it to just remove the fillet if you need to remake it (so you have a smooth file) instead of remaking it from dxf.

The "R" shown rises to ridge line....For the "Totem" logo that would not be approprioate would it?

Would like to circle back to this.

I figured how to clean up the DXF files easily. The TOTEM is just me experimenting on how to do this for future projects.

I'm still not sure on how to make this prism effect.

I did similar recently but I gather you have specific text and style in mind?

Please share an example that you see would "Work" as a Pyramid type text.

Years ago I made these but I cheated and programmed them 2.5D for CNC Router cutting.

No specific text or style as of now, just trying to figure/learn on how to create this.

Exactly like your 'AIRBUS' is what I am trying to accomplish.

I don't have any examples until tomorrow but your example is perfect.

Yes as I said I cheated back then...Gosh it may have even been before Fusion 360 was launched...and fabricated from parts using CorelDraw to create 2.5 D toolpaths....and the Airbus logo was I believe designed with the chiseled look in mind ( a near perfect centre ridgeline) often  it was simply rendered to look 3D in the Trade Exhibition arena.

only the I and U and S were created in one piece prior to painting

I would retrace all the segmented curved edges with a single curve to remove the segmentation .

It's initially more work, but reduce frustrations down the line.

I see, I know it's easier in other programs, I have this drawn out but don't know how to implement it.

Yes, I do this with every file I bring in.

I would like to do something very similar.  Could I have the steps needed to achieve this?

Can you share file with your proposed base letters that you wish to chisel? The old Artcam and today's Vectric Aspire make this work very easy.
