Print Utility Issue (update 2.0.20460)

After poking around on some of the other recent threads regarding this topic, I thought that the most recent update would solve my issue but I'm still left confused and frustrated.

I cannot seem to send multiple bodies and/or components to either of my slicers as separate bodies.

I have tried all ways I know how to send parts: right clicking assembly and saving as mesh; choosing 3d print from the drop down menu; selecting 3d print from Make i the utilities tab; combining bodies. Basically all the ways I have successfully sent multiple bodies before has failed.

From the recent forum posts I thought updating would help but nothing.

The part I am trying to send has a body with a pocket with another body occupying the the pocket so I can print the body in one color and the shape in the pocket another color. I have tried this part as well as a simple part with two simple shapes not touching each other, both have failed in the same way.

I have been trying to send to both Cura, and Qidi Slicer. (on a personal note, I just set up a brand new bambu p1s at home and this issue makes my intentions for this printer invalid)

I'm using a paid version of Fusion for work and my workflow is halted until I can figure out how to remedy this issue; Help is greatly appreciated.

Additionally, every time I save as mesh, fusion defaults to Export, as well, Cura is no longer a default in the drop down menu which means I have to manually change between my two slicers in my files each time I switch between them.

It would be a nice feature to be able to have a favorites of sorts that I can set various slicers to, but that's another thing entirely.

@lukas.fuhrmannI saw you were in a similar thread, perhaps you can weigh in?

Thanks!

Hi
I just ran into a similar issue with the latest update (2.0.20256 arm64, personal license). Sending the same body to PrusaSlicer (after modifications) is not working when the slicer is already running. When Fusion opens the slicer, it works. Same with OrcaSlicer. This wasn't an issue before this update. (using macOS 14.6.1 (23G93) with M1 MacBook)

And i like the menu to choose between slicers very much, but defaulting to export instead of last used is a bit annoying.

Thanks!

I don't know how the mac updates correlate with Windows but my current version is 2.0.20460 which fusion says is up to date.
It seems like there is a myriad of things wrong with the export function in Fusion right now.
Thanks for the input.

Now i've updated to 2.0.20460. It was doing an auto-update on startup so i though i'm using the latest.
The issue got fixed.
Thank you.

Could you explain your workflow in a bit more detail? I just tried with the latest version of Fusion and I didn't have any problem with sending 2 bodies as 3mf to both BambuLab and Cura. I was then able to assign different colors to each part in both slicers. Also you mentioned that this workflow was possible for you before, but is not anymore after the latest update. We did not make any changes to the way multi body export behaves with save as mesh or 3d print with the latest update. I think it would be ideal if you could upload a video of your workflow (or describe it in more detail) so we can check if we are missing something or to find out where you get stuck.

Thanks,

Lukas
