I looked at the font in a vector graphics program and found that there are several vector connections that cause self-intersections during extrusions, which then leads to error messages.
I have the same issue and found this post. So to try I created a new project, wrote some text and try to extrude. But the text won`t extrude, the same as when it is placed as a new sketch on a new object.
