I have created this sketch and now I want to extrude the box with the sketches being holes. In MEP I would just extrude and then the areas inside the shapes would be the holes. How do I do this in fusion. I have tried watching videos no one has done what I am trying to while showing it in a video.

Hi @Anonymous ,

I think you have created two different sketches, 1st sketch a 2D-Rectangle & 2nd sketch with cuts

It is possible wen you create the 2D-Rectangle & the cuts in a single sketch.

It will be easy to understand if you can attach the file, File>Export as *.f3d and attach the file to the reply.

so from the looks of it, i need to make the rectangle then put the spaces all in one sketch. that should allow me to extrude the spaces. is that correct?

Hi @Anonymous ,

As I mentioned earlier, you have created multiple sketches.

For example, in the below image, the 'Sketch3' has created the highlighted sketches.

If you need to create all the 2d Sketched in one sketch then only fusion 360 allows you to extrude cut.

I have attached the design with sketches created in one sketch.

YES!

You can also project elements from other sketches into the current sketch using the projection tool.

We can project all the sketches in one, Like @g-andresen suggested.

Attached is the one with projecting all the sketched in one sketch.
