Post processor names gone weird

Hi,

I'm having an issue with he names of posts appearing in the selection dialogue box in Fusion on my Mac. I have various posts located in the assets folder in the cloud, but when I open the dialogue you output a program, the names only show as a list of generic names.

Attached a screen shot of the assets window showing the post processor dialogue box open showing the generic names.

Mac is running Fusion 2.0.3800 in OSX El Capitan 10.11.6 and all was working fine previously

All seems to be fine on my PC running Windows 10 Pro v1709

Suggestions and advice gratefully accepted

Thanks

Knut

Hi @Klimmek-Furniture

Thanks for posting! The posts on the Mac version of Fusion 360 are showing the "Description" field within the post itself, rather than the filename of the .cps file. This was a change made a few updates back, but will be reverted back to using the filename due to mixed reviews.

It looks like the "Description" is still being shown on the Mac - the CAM development team will be looking into this issue. I'll keep this thread updated as a resolution as reached, please feel free to reach out with any questions!

In the meantime, you can change the displayed name of posts by opening the .cps files and editing the "description" field (first line below):

description = "Type desired name to display here";
vendor = "Fanuc";
vendorUrl = "http://www.fanuc.com";
legal = "Copyright (C) 2012-2017 by Autodesk, Inc.";
certificationLevel = 2;
minimumRevision = 24000;

Hi Paul,

Thanks for the reply. Yes we managed to figure that out after while. Definitely not user friendly to have to tinker under the hood. We have specialist working to resolve several issues in the post for our machine and I will ask them to change the naming convention in the post itself  as they develop new versions and in the meantime will change them manually.
