Point cloud from a CNC CMM running PC-DMIS

I have a point cloud that I got from a part that I am trying to reverse engineer. I generated an XYZ CSV point cloud, and imported it into Fusion360, using the "ImportSlineCSV", which is good and all but I don't need the spline connecting all the points along the path my CMM went. So I use the Add-In "ImportCSVPoints", this is better, much better, just imports the points from the point cloud, great, but wait, it is not scaled correctly...at all, so I try out PowerShape to create the mesh from the point cloud. I don't want to have to do this every time I have a point cloud to work with. Is there a simpler, quicker way, in Fusion 360 to import a Point Cloud and then generate a surface based off the point cloud? Am I just missing something?

I don't think you're missing anything, it's just that the software isn't there yet. I'll let @Richard.stubley chime in with any additional info if needed 🙂
