Hi,
I would like to develop a workflow for importing canvasses of a known size.
I tested importing jpg's of sizes 500x500, 1000x1000, 4056x3040 and 3040x4056.
When I import these jpg's as canvas and leave scale at 1, they all come into fusion with a width of 17.5 mm.
I would like to know if this is a given/constant that I can work with.
My question is, will any image used as a canvas come in at a width of 17.5 mm regardless of the resolution?
Is there any setting or other factor that determines how canvasses are sized when placing?
I would like a consistent workflow of placing a canvas and scaling it to actual size, maybe even by scripting.
But how consistent and reliable is the scaling (to 17.5) when placing a canvas?
Thanks!
EDIT: My goal:
I want to have a static (Pi HQ, 4056x3040px) camera pointed at a static surface to place objects on.
I want to skip the calibration step, i want to enter a constant value for scaling when placing the canvas.
If I know the actual width of the image area I can calculate a constant scaling factor when placing the canvas.
But where does this 17.5mm come from? Is this a setting/constant that I can rely on?
EDIT: Adding image to illustrate.
