I am wanting to change the line width of a component in a project but am having trouble doing so. Is there a way to do this in Personal Use only or is it a premium feature?

Hi,

What mode are you talking about?
Design (construction) or drawing
Line thicknesses are only available in drawing mode.

Is there a way to adjust line thickness in Design mode? I know you can draw a rectangle, but if I want to make my lines say, 0.4mm thick, is there a way to do this?

No, because that is not the purpose of a sketch.

A sketch (I am assuming that is what you are referring to) is a vehicle to create simple base geometry to extrude, revolve etc. to create 3D geometry.
