Permission issues with update failing

Hi

I've needed to upgrade my version of fusion 360 in order to open a recent design. So it goes to update and around 91% of the way it will say permission problems. I work in a hospital facility so I can speak to my IT team but not sure what specifically they would need to give permissions. I cant see any VPN being used on my internet setup so not sure what it is causing problems but they would want me to be sure what it is before they give me temporary higher privileges.

Thanks in advance

The update application indicated in the log that it did not have permission to the user "ja925" Appdata folder.

Hi

Many thanks for noticing this. Does this mean I have to install software with admin rights as I actually have that but no window comes up for me to allow this. What can be done if not this?

I would simply add rights to your Windows account.  This is an upgrade so you cannot simply right click on the installer and select "Run as Administrator".  All Windows installation should be executed by a user with Administrator or Power User rights, with UAC (User Access Control) temporarily turned off and Anti-virus applications turned off temporarily as well.  If you cannot have this done on a permanent basis, then have it done on a temporary one.

Thanks.

I will try this solution. Will let you know once I have as I have to request this access from my IT department.
