Having the same problem. worked once. after making a minor change it will no longer generate. Stuck on "Adaptive [Pending]"

This is causing production issues.

The problem tool path pending happens at random times for no particular
reason I am new to the program and have to go back to rework the toolpath
etc . sometimes it will go straight into regenerating the tool path others
it sits there with pending for 10 minutes then suddenly off it goes .

Hi @jeffE9ZUY,

Thank you for your response! I am still having difficulty reproducing the issue, and I need more information to investigate it further. If the issue occurs again, could you share a public link to the design with me? Also, a screencast of the steps to reproduce the issue would be very helpful.

it down to get out of it

Do you have rest machining enabled in the ops that give problems, that's the only time I seen pending stop a regen for any length of time. When you say it locks your computer and you have to shut down, do you mean you shut down your computer or just Fusion. If it's just fusion try running Fusion's task manager and stop the op from there. Might be worth having Fusion's task open so you can see what's going on anyway.

Don't know if you've noticed but Fusion's CAM has its own task manager on the Manage menu. It might be worth having it open so you can see what's going on and maybe stop the generation. What are your computer specs CPU mostly, how many cores\threads.

Hello,

I am experiencing a similar ''[pending] toolpath issue '' on a desktop at work. I am still able to use the desktop while the issue pops up in Fusion 360 (ultimate). All other applications run noticably slower while the toolpath remains on ''[pending]'' status. In my case it has been on "[pending]" status for over 15 minutes now and nothing happens. It won't generate the toolpath. It popped up after I interupted the initial generation of the toolpath. It was on about 51% completion when I remembered I had to change something. I went to edit it and after I changed something it got stuck on "[pending]". It's a quite large 3D adaptive clearing toolpath for a large design. The geometry itself is not too complex I would say.

For confidentiality reasons I can't add a public link to the design here in the forum thread. I can PM a public link to the design to a moderator or an autodesk employee.

System specs:

Windows 7 Professional 64-bit

12 GB RAM

Intel Xeon E5-1607 0 @ 3.00 GHz

AMD FirePro V4900 (FireGL V)

Thanks in advance,

Regards,

Pascal

I just upgraded my computer to a i7 quad processer that seems to help I too
do large parts not overly complex shape .

Use the task manager in the Manger drop down menu. Just helped me. It was stuck on an old path that I had deleted and had built up a cue with each path I made afterwards. I was able to stop the old path and choose the path I wanted processed.

I've noticed if you edit an adaptive toolpath while it's generating it doesn't cancel if it's been running for a couple of minutes so you can end up with the same op calculating twice at the same time. If you open Fusion's task manager you'll see the op will have 2 processes running, probably best to kill both then regenerate.

+1 for HughesTooling solution.

It may also work to turn suppress on/off for the setup or tool path stuck pending.
