I have an assembly that has some repeating components, some tanks and associated pipework. The assembly was created about a year ago and has gone through a fair few iterations.
Someone on here encouraged me to use joints properly and that has massively simplified changes, for which I am extremely grateful. It does, however, seem to have some issues since the latest update.
The issue occurs when I adjust joints of components that are subsequently part of a pattern, the patterns parts do not move correspondingly. When I try to create a joint between these new parts the joint fails.
The assembly is quite large and wont export which is why a file is not attached, please see photos detailing the issue.
The below photo show how the first set of tanks are "jointed" to the sketch in the concrete floor component of the groundworks subassembly.
The below photo shows how the pipework is then "jointed" to the tanks
The photo below shows the three tanks that have been created using a rectangular pattern. Notice that they are elevated compared to the other tanks. When first created the bund for the area around the tanks was going to be achieved through a wall rather than lowering the floor, thus the tanks have moved down, this adjustment was achieved by changing the joint. It seems this adjustment has not transferred to the pattern as the pattern created tanks are still in the original position.
Thee photo below shows the new joint I try to create between the pattern created tank and the concrete floor.
The photo below shows the error I get
This issue doesn't seem to be local to this model as I have had to rebuild another assembly from scratch without using patterns, I would really like a quicker solution as I need to get drawings to a civil engineer who is designing the concrete base, by Monday morning and am supposed to be doing something with the family this weekend.
Any help would be gratefully appreciated.
