PART IN PLACE

HI ALL!

I was wondering if anyone knew how to create a "part in place" from an assembly and making it a separate file to generate a 2D drawing afterward? I know I can create a new component within an assembly but Fusion would not let me make this part a single separate part to mod off the assembly. Please advise.

Thank you so much in advance for your help.

V/R.

Not my normal workflow, so may not be correct, try

If you have Rule #1 component structure, select the component, right click, Save As, (newname.f3d)

If you have external references to that part of the design, (not Rule #1 structure) may or may not work.

Might help....

Hi,

1. You can even create a 2D derivation from the isolated part without creating a new file.
2. Use save copy as to create a separate file from the selected part.
