When I change the formula for KK the value of KK updates but not the dependent value anom.

Hi,

Basically, however, one would have to clarify what purpose this calculation has.

An insight into the geometry could give information on this.

Please share the file.

In purely formal terms, it must be stated:

The behavior is due to errors in the calculation of square roots.*
Fusion determines the result 0 for negative terms, and when a positive term is changed to any negative one, the previously correctly calculated value is preserved.

In both cases, an error message should be generated.

@jeff_strater
Can you please initiate a problem resolution?

* concerns here the value KK = 7,5

INFO:  The error also occurs with the exponential notation (x ^0.5).

There is no geometry at all.

The formula shall calculate the distance of two pulleys.

Once a invalid solution was calculated the whole calculation is broken, even with valid values.

Hi,

1. Does the square root have nothing to do with Pythagoras and his law of perpendicular triangles?

2. Negative expressions in square roots do not exist for such cases.

3. Please share the f3d file
