open on desktop - get error fail to load Qt plugin

When I try to open models on desktop from the browser i get the following error:

"This application failed to start because it could not find or load the Qt platform plugin "windows" in "".

It says "Reinstalling the application may fix this problem."

But reinstalling does not fix it.
