OK button and return not working for mirroring

I am completely new, using the Fusion 360 free 30 day trial. I see videos of people clicking on things to select them, and I follow exactly the steps they use and things don't select when I click on them. For instance, I have a complicated line I need to mirror. I draw a mirror-line and click on the mirror tool. I try to select the line I want to mirror and I can't a lot of the time. Sometimes it selects the line, and I can't figure out why it worked this time and not last time. Then I select the mirror line and a preview of the mirroring of the line shows up and looks perfect, so I hit "ok" or "enter, and the preview disappears and there is no mirrored object, it is just blank. I thought it might be a bug, so I un-installed and re-installed and it is the same thing. In the video my curser is displaced for some reason down and to the right of where it was when I was making the video. I also tried to record audio but it seems it didn't work, sorry. I am trying to select the stuff in the lower right quadrant to mirror it across the Y axis in green, Thanks!

I did not see any dialog boxes in your video, maybe it did not record them, some recorders do not.  Anyway my video will show the process.  I used a mocked up sketch to resemble yours since you did not supply your model.

Thank you so much for taking the time to respond!

If there should have been sound with your video it didn't come through.

I am using the built-in Xbox video recorder to record this. The windows don't show, and the curser appears down and to the right of the actual location when I am using it. If you know of a better video capture app let me know and I will download it and use it in the future. I was able to record audio this time, so I talked my way through everything I did, including what windows I had open and was clicking on. I copied everything I saw in the "Sketch Palette" window before trying to select things. All of the points in the picture are greyed out and won't let me select them.

Really hard to tell what's going on in the video but are the items you're trying to select in the same active sketch you're in? The curves look faded like they would if they were in a different sketch.

EXACTLY!! I can't for the life of me figure out how to select the sketch that I want to make active. I realize this is insanely basic, and should probably be something that I should have stumbled upon by now, but I can't find it to save my life, and I don't see it in ANY of the "Basics" videos.

the Browser menu on the left has the list of all of the sketches. I can find the sketch that this line is in by clicking on the eye symbol making it disappear and reappear. Then I try to select that sketch by clicking on it everywhere or box-selecting it and it won't select. What do I need to do to have access to sketches that I have already made?

Here's one way, right click a curve in the sketch you want to edit. On the right click menu you will have the option to Edit Sketch.

Wow. Thank you so much for the help! That finally did it. I figured it was some small thing I had to click on a sub-menu, but I had no way of finding that thing!
