Offset Planes and the Move Command

I recently came into this issue as to using the move command in different environments in fusion 360.

If I create  an offset plane in the sketch or in the surface mode , once the offset plane is created it can't be moved, copied,or rotated,  but if I create an offset plane (anytype within the list) In the "Forms"  environment!,  I can move, duplicate, rotate, slide the offset plane in any direction to my choosing!.

Why is that? not available in the other Modes (sketch,Surface)

I find it kinda ODD! to have to switch to the forms environment  to be able to change/move/rotate an offset plane!

Does Anybody has an answer  to this  Issue ?.

Thanks!

The form environment is a direct modeling environment that does not retain any parameters.

If you have the timeline enabled, everything is parametric.

If you want to be able to move/rotate a construction plane, instead of using the form feature, you can also create a base feature, and create the construction plane in the base feature.

If you want to move/reorient that construction plane using the move tool you'll have to edit the base feature, move the plane and then finish the base feature.

Sketches created on that construction plane when NOT editing the base feature will be fully parametric.

You can get there, but....

How does rotating a plane, assist you?

For the move / slide - click drag on the edges required.

For Move Offset - Edit Feature and change the current value.

For Copy multiples I don’t use Plane.

Might help.....

Thank you for the help, but it doesn't answer my question  (logically Speaking!  (from a laymen's point of view) ,the reason I posted this question about  offset construction planes and commands available  is because I recently  watched a tutorial on making r/c planes  using fusion360 and the person was using construction planes to make specific parts of the aircraft  using construction planes and the move command was used to slide or rotate the construction plane in order to create a sketch at specific angles and positions, but watching his videos i realized that he was in the "Forms" environment to do that! that is why I made the original posting.

So When I tried to do the same thing  initialy  I realized that move command  didn't work  in the surface mode or the sketch mode, until I discovered  that he was using the Forms mode to manipulate the poffset panes.

So My initial question is to My learning of fusion360 is a valid one!, if you need the link of the tutorials of  r/c planes i will gladly  make it available for you to see!

Thank you! for the help, please read the latest reply to  trippylighting about my original  posting as I provide  a little more details of my original post about  Offset planes and the move commands.

Firstly, for obvious reasons I cannot answer the question why the move tool cannot be used to move/orient construction planes. As an Autodesk Expert Elite I have no idea why certain features are implement and and others aren't.

Technically it should be possible to move construction parametrically in a timeline based , but it has simply not been implemented yet. I've not seen a lot of requests for that functionality here on the forum, so perhaps  it isn't a high priority.

What I explained in my last post was how you can use the move tool to move a construction plane non-parametrically.

As you've seen in the tutorial, it can be done by creating the construction plane in the form environment or as I've explained in a base feature.
