Offset plane intermittent

When sketching in the offset plane, some lines will jump back to the origin plane.

My sketch starts with a simple frame, two A-frames separated by a line; like a swingset, if you will.  I sketch one A-frame, offset a plane for the next.  As I sketch the second frame in the offset plane, some of the lines connect to the first sketch at the origin.

I've used offset planes in the past and have no problems.  

Any help would be much appreciated.

You probably have 3D sketch activated and are picking a point on the original plane during your sketch.  If this is not true, please attach a Screencast and your model so everyone can take a look.

Spot on!  Turned off 3D sketch and everything worked perfectly.  

While I'm no Fusion360 expert, I've made dozens and dozens of models and never had this stump me before.
