Odd behavior with push-pull, extrude.

I am very very new at fusion 360..  I finally have a project that required me to play with it.  After I do an push pull or extrude through this part - it creates an unexpected feature..  (I am 3d printing this part - exporting it as a stl - the anomoly doesn't transfer.    I have tried quite a few different ways to create the 'fins' but each one seems to create these extra feature.  They don't seem to be clickable and doesn't seem to have any thickness.extrude.pngfinish.png.

it's hard to say without the model.  Can you share it here?  This sounds like a faceting problem.  One thing you can try is to change the display detail of the body:

set it to "custom", and try one of the other settings:

you can also control the refinement of the STL on export:

set the refinement to "custom", and you can choose from the dropdown, or play with the sliders a bit.

Setting the display detail to medium fixed it!

Thanks!
