Odd behavior in drawings environment - missing leader lines, invisible geometry, etc.....

Hey folks, long time listener - first time caller.....

Been using Fusion for the better part of a decade now and today I started having some odd and frustrating issues with the drawings side. I cannot practically share screen shots due to proprietary information but here are the symptoms:

1. Missing leader lines for dimensions - when I drop a linear dimension, only one side of the leader line is present, the other side is just invisible. Only one side though.

2. Dimension break has just decided not to work at all.

3. I have a blind face drill hole with small chamfer on a component, drawings will only pick up the edge of the chamfer - it acts like the hole doesn't exist at all. I've modeled the hole a couple different ways just to see how it reacted and the result is the same every time.

Any help is appreciated - thanks!

Hi @Daniel

I'm sorry to hear that you are having trouble. This sounds like a graphics issue.

There are a few things that you can try:

1) Clear your cache and see if this helps.

2) On your Windows PC, set up your graphics in Fusion to run in “high performance” mode

Please let us know how you get on.

Thanks for the response - the computer is a new Mac running Sonoma 14.4 - and this is the only drawing experiencing this issue. Other parts with identical features are working correctly.

I have closed this drawing and restarted Fusion with no effect, the glitches are repeatable. I may just have to nuke it and start over.

Hi Daniel

If you share the link to the 2D drawing with me, I can ask the team to have a look at this for you.

Feel free to mail it to me directly, Clint. Brown {a} autodesk.com

I very much appreciate the offer, but I cannot share this information.

When I have a minute - I am just going to create a new one and see if the problems follow or if that particular drawing is just compromised in a way that I cannot repair.

The drawing tools especially constraints seem to be quite broken. I often have sketches that show as constrained but are not, sketches that show as not constrained but are.

Hi @ryanNDFYJ

It sounds like you are experiencing issues with the sketch environment, the post above was specific to 2d drawings (not model sketches)

I would suggest creating a new post, highlighting specific issues, so that they can be investigated. Otherwise, feel free to mail me a link to the model, where the issues are present. I’ll pass it on to the sketch team to investigate.

Even now with it almost being 2026, I had the exact issue with leader lines. I can confirm that in my case, clearing the cache as instructed fixed the leader line problem.
