objects blocks in sketch will not move

Hello,

I have simple flat sketch drawing that needed to be resized.  I divided the two sections to remove 0.05" from sections X and Y on the drawing as I have done previous. However, since update I have not been able to do this.   I get through the move function and it will not let me move them.  Sits there and flickers.

Any ideas what is happening and what can be done to complete this drawing move function?

Thank you

Please attach your model and explain exactly what you are trying to do.  If you do not know how to attach your Fusion 360 model follow these easy steps. Open the model in Fusion 360, select the File menu, then Export and save as a F3D or F3Z file to your hard drive. Then use the Attachments section, of a forum post, to attach it.

Hello,

Thank you for your replay.  Here is you requested is my F3D file attached.  The story here is that I have created a cardboard box mockup for client, but the gave me the first size then changed it less 0.05" X and Y dimensions.  What I have done in the past was to simply draw a line ... offset it.. that amount.. move the top (first)  and then right side (secondly) .. and bring it into dimensions as specified.. by using the end points to establish the  movement.. (select one.. select two) them active the movement function. However, when I go to try such, it will not allow me to do it.

Thank you for you help.

First of all, why do you not dimension your sketch and then you could adjust it easily?  Second, if it is dimensioned you can easily check if you have the correct size in the end.  As it is, you are guessing.  Anyway, I probably am misunderstanding what you want to do but if I am correct, the video will explain why it probably does not move, you do not have a fix reference to move against.

Hello John,
Sorry about my delay. My HP system decided to update itself to Ver11. I have had all sorts of problems since then. So now I am back and on ver10 again and everything is working as it should.
OK.. to the problem. The dividing lines.. are lines I placed via drawing a line through random areas of the geometry at 0.05" apart after a request to make the pattern 0.05" small top and bottom. So the measurement was done with the Offset of 0.05" I am doing it this way because the geometry of the curves and internal bends are critical and I did not want to rework all those again, as they are exactly what is needed after many days of measurements and correction. I figured the easiest quickest way is to just cut 0.05" out X plane geometry and 0.05" out of the Y plane. Thus moving the "non critical" areas of the geometry to amount required to fix the new plastic casing supplied. The object is to eventually fold this into a 0.03" plastic/cardboard-carton. I did try to use set it up using the 'fx' parameters, however ( and this could be my misunderstanding of fx) when I put in new measurements, the pattern geometry went everywhere except where it was meant to go. I think this is because of the changes also have to be represented in the angles and the length of the percentages of the bend to the angles of the geometry itself. So I thought out the problem and decided to just cut scale and cut of and change what is need as to the varying requirements in changes of dimension Z,X,Y of the geometry. Thank you for any help you can offer.
Graham.

@Skyhighedu

Do you intend to fold up this flat pattern?

You are not using efficient modeling techniques - would you like to learn better techniques?
