New very annoying handling of dimensioning errors

Since the latest update, if I am adding a feature (eg. a chamfer) to a solid, if the value I type in for the distance is invalid or out of bounds, the error shows and the text input box for the value is deselected.  Before the update, the value box remained selected and I could simply backspace and correct the value.  Now I have to find the value input box, click on it, and then enter the correct value.

Whether I'm trying different values for looks, or dealing with the whole "computer math" issue where I have to chamfer something 3.9999 instead of the 4 I know it should be, I do this a lot.

Please revert.
