after update to new toolbar im not able to use sheet metal flange tool. any sugestion?

thanks for posting!

Check if your design history is switched on first. Then, you can find sheet metal within the Design workspace:

no. is not. i cant select edge to make flange . I can extrude , but cant flange .

Hi @Anonymous,

 

thanks for the screencast!

This is due to the fact that you are selecting an edge of a solid body (and not a sheet metal body).

You can create a flange from a sketch or starting with an edge of another flange.

Accepted solution

The first feature needs to be a flange not an extrusion. Just because you're in the sheet metal tab it doesn't make the part a sheet metal part, the extrude feature is the same as in the model workspace.

 

Try just drawing a single line then select the flange tool and extrude. Best practice would be to switch to the sheet metal tab, create a sheet metal component and select the material

then create your first sketch and create the first flange.
