Need to create a raised vertical rib on the inside of a cylinder.

Need to create a raised vertical rib on the inside of a cylinder. The vertical rib would be the length of the cylinder and only 1 mm high.   I would then pattern it to go around the 4 quarters.  Hey I am a newb so hope you don't mind the question.
