Nc code is saved to mystery location

Very new, very frustrated user.

Just got Fusion and a Longmill CNC up and running.

3d printing from fusion no problem.

sending Gcode no problem and was engraving and carving.

Today I go to save my Gcode and Fusion gives me the first dialog box but I don't get an option for a save location??????

All my other nc. code from yesterday was saved to the Fusion 360 Cam file, today I have no idea where fusion is sending these files???

What am I missing here?

Hopefully something obvious....

Thanks in advance for any help and insights

Are you using the supplied generic posts, and are you on Mac or PC?

Some of the support team have encountered an issue with the generic posts, both in file naming and location that the code ends up in. One area that doesn't seem effected is the Cloud or Local post processors. Here's an article on how to add a local or cloud post.

Hi

I am on a MacBook pro with the silicon chip and I am using supplied generic posts.

I am going to try to add a cloud post and see if that works.

I'm told that turning this Preview Flag off is also a workaround. See attached photo

The attachment didn't show up for me.

Followed all the instructions to make a personal post and found the location to add it.

How do I make or get the .cps file to insert?

Gonna try to get a cloud based post going

I have tried adding both of these and they are still both greyed out when I select them in post processing.

All the code that was stored in the .nc folder located where it was saving yesterday is fine and can still run from the ups.

Fusion just doesn't seem to be able to save any sort of .nc file anywhere.

I just did a clean install and Fusion is back to giving me the option to name and choose location to save .ns files.

I'm also experiancing this problem. I use Fanuc / fanuc. No save option, just outputs as fanuc.nc in the output folder.ss.JPG

Go to https://cam.autodesk.com/hsmposts? and download the post you want to a local folder or the Cloud (love the Cloud storage for Fusion assets btw) and search to that location instead.
