My rendering could not be rendered because an error occurred

Hi I am trying to render a file, and the in canvas rendering works, however when I try and use the final render I get the message: 'your rendering could not be rendered because an error occurred'. Any help on this would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi @Anonymous,

thanks for posting! I have the following questions:

  1. Is "DELETE RENDERING" displayed below the error message?
  2. Is this a Cloud rendering or a local rendering?
  3. Does the rendering contain any custom appearances / decals - in particular, large-sized images?
  4. Is it a rendering of a motion study?
  5. Do the names of the components contain non-English characters?
  6. At which point is the message displayed (when clicking the Render button / when viewing a successfully uploaded rendering in the Render Gallery?)
  7. Are you able to successfully render for a lower resolution (Width/Height values)?

If possible, please attach the link to the affected Fusion 360 design for us to test (see: How to share a Fusion 360 Design). Thank you!

Hi,

1. delete rendering is below the message.

2. cloud rendering

3. I don't think so

4. it is not a motion study

5. I don't think so

6. when I try and click on the thumbnail in the renders area, I don't believe it starts rendering

7. no it doesn't work at any resolutions but does work in canvas

Hi @Anonymous,

thanks for a quick reply! I was able to reproduce this behaviour for your design. It was not reproducible for any sample design I tested afterwards. Could you check if Fusion 360 crashes when trying to render the design locally (and if so, send us the generated crash error reports)?

Thank you in advance!

Hi @Anonymous,

the issue is linked to the mesh body imported into Fusion 360. When I build a T-Spline around it and render it, it works seamlessly. I tried some sample mesh bodies and local / Cloud renderings are generated for them as well.

I reported this to our developers already. Could you also provide the original file it was imported from?

Thanks a lot in advance!

hi @pawel.potyrala

Is it possible you could send me the file you edited with the T-spline? And yes I can send you the file, but would prefer to email you it if possible?

Thanks for your help,

Aidan

Hi @Anonymous,

thanks once again for reporting this and sending the file! As mentioned, it seems to occur for specific design like complex imported mesh bodies. I logged it in with our development team for further investigation.

The workaround that can be used for now is using the In-Canvas Render option you mentioned in your original post.

Thanks for understanding!
