Move body x distance with measure

Trying to move a body with move command along z axis for example.  I select body, drag arrow to get the move started, then in the z axis box... I choose the drop down and select measure.  I usually have to click somewhere to get anything to happen, then it is unclear the order your suppose to click to make the option work properly. Where can I get information on how to properly use the option for selecting the distance to move? All searches I do on measurement tends to point towards discussions on functions of the inspect tool Thanks so much!

Take a look at the Screencast.  I do not remember which axis I used but they all work the same.  I picked two points for the distance, you can also pick the edge and it will do the same thing.

Hello it seems that M. Hackney is a great help. I was wondering when i copy a component and move it at a special distance. How can i go back or change the distance ? For exemple . i have some feet for a table and i am copying it and move at a 40''. But then, i want to move it because i dont like the design. How can i go back and see what distance i was without using the measurement tool ? Id there a way i can go back to the function and see the distance and be able to change it there

The Copy/Paste or Copy/Paste New orientation dialog are just for initial placement and are not editable.  You should use a Joint to place and orient the components to each other after the copy.  The Joint placement dialog will then allow you to edit the position of the two components using the joint dialog box both during creation and later editing is needed.
