While moving the extendable rod the piston moves along with it but when the piston is moved it's motion is restricted by the extendable rod. I need the extendable rod to retract while the piston moves. Can anyone help me in this?

Rigid Joint the faces that collided in the Movie.

When the telescope retracts the Piston? will remain attached.

You could do it with a Rest position on the Piston? as well.

Please attach your model so the Forum users can try and give you some possible solutions.  If you do not know how to attach your model, open it in Fusion 360, select the File menu, then Export and save to your hard drive as a F3D or F3Z file depending on its structure.  Then attach it to a reply post using the attachment section.
