model disappears when zooming 3d connexion mouse up close

At a certain level of close-up zoom, the model just disappears while rotating the model. When I navigate around, the model reappears, but from a totally random position.

The issue doesn't happen with my regular mouse.

The spacemouse is new and installed only a week ago. Drivers should be as per most recent.
