I would like to create a model and export an stl with grooves in it exactly like what happens when you use the trace tool path in manufacture. So when I use the render function I want the little mushroom lines to show up like they were traced.

Thank you so much for your help!

I think you would like the result of a Thin Extrude.  You can play with the depth and width to get what you desire.  Model attached.

By the way, besides my post on your solution, I wanted to let you know that you can improve your model exterior and interior surface quality by using a different modeling technique.  Compare the screen captures below.   Model is attached and if you are interested, let me know and I will show you how to do it.

I do really like the thin extrude! And yes please show me how you changed the surface to be smooth. That looks much better!

The process I will show basically removes all the hundreds of points in your extrusion sketch which in turn gives you a smooth wall Extrude.  I only did it for the exterior, the same process can be used on the interior sketch.

If you think this of value, please select the "Accept Solution" for this post.  Thanks for the previous accepted solution.
