Mirror Sketch on extruded face

i am have a hard time figuring out how to mirror a sketch on to an extruded surface so i can create the below leg. When i try to copy the extruded shape it does not allow me to

Don't know what you are planned to do exactly but this is a way that maybe gives you an idea of how you can make it.

But there are many more based on what your goal is.

There are 2 types of mirror. 

1. Sketch mirror (found in sketch tab)

2. Feature/body mirror (found in solid tab)

 

to use sketch mirror, you do it according to a line. but to do a feature or body mirror you need to select plane.

Are you trying to mirror a sketch according to a plane of a solid (using feature mirror)???

File > export > save as  f3d locally > attach to next post
