Migration of cloud files after updating login email address

So, my University updated all of our institutional email addresses as part of a rebranding campaign.  My Fusion360 account was created with my original institutional email.  I since updated my Autodesk profile with the new email address, but upon logging in with the new email none of my cloud files show up.  Functionally, it seems as if I created a second account and not actually changed the login – since now I have two separate logins linked with a separate set of files.

Fast forward to today – my old account with files says 'account expiring' at the top of the screen.  I subsequently received a renewal email at an unknown address because of institutional forwarding – and renewed an unspecified account.  After renewing, my old login remains as 'account expiring'.

My main question is whether or not I will lose access to the original login and files, and what I should do about it.  I've been exporting files from my old login in the event I lose access and need to import to the new login, but perhaps there is a better solution?

Chat support stated this is a functionality issue that should be posted in the forums.

Thanks!

Hey @Anonymous

I would recommend using this method to transfer your projects to the new account.

Essentially, invite your new account to your old team hub, then transfer the data using the project transfer option.

Cheers,

Karina
