Measure Tool - Clear (Feature Request?)

The Measure Tool has a clear selection button in the Measure window but does it have a keyboard shortcut to clear? If not, can you please make pressing 'i' again clear the Measure Tool?

This is my current workflow when I need to do multiple (unrelated) measurements - 

1. Press 'i' to open Measure Tool

2. Select object 1 to measure

3. Press Esc to exit Measure Tool

4. Press 'i' to open Measure Tool

5. Select object 2 to measure

This is what I am proposing - 

1. Press 'i' to open Measure Tool

2. Select object 1 to measure

3. Press 'i' to clear Measure Tool

4. Select object 2 to measure

It saves a single button press but I use this workflow constantly and I'm sure a lot of others do to. Thank you!

3. Press 'i' to clear Measure Tool 

Click in empty area of the screen - this clears the Measure Tool.

4. Select object 2 to measure

@TheCADWhisperer  - I was not aware of that and it will be very helpful. Thank you for teaching me about it!

I would also like the option to clear the Measure Tool with a single key press. Maybe the backspace key instead of the 'i' key. If I am zoomed in and measuring multiple objects it would save from moving the mouse out to an empty area and back to where I am measuring.
